  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 (15 oz) can pumpkin
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 1 cup chopped pecans or 1 cup walnuts

  • 1 Beat all ingredients (except nuts) with electric mixer just until dry ingredients are moistened. Fold in nuts.
  • 2 Spoon into two greased and floured 9 x 5 inch loaf pans.
  • 3 Bake at 350 degrees for one hour or until pick inserted in center comes out clean.
  • 4 Cool in pans on wire racks for 10 minutes; removed from pans and cool completely on racks.
