1. Place pears, cut side down, in an ungreased 13-in. x 9-in. x 2-in. baking dish.
2. Combine water and grape juice; pour over pears.
3. Cover and bake at 350° for 35-45 minutes or until tender.
4. Turn the pears over.
5. Combine almonds, sugar and extract; mix well.
6. Spoon into pear cavities.
7. Bake, uncovered, for 5 minutes.
8. Serve warm.
