Ingredients:
4 cups water |
1/2 cup fat-free milk |
1 cup uncooked quick-cooking grits |
2 teaspoons low-sodium worcestershire sauce |
1 teaspoon minced garlic |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon hot sauce |
1 1/2 cups (6 ounces) shredded reduced-fat cheddar cheese |
Directions:
1. Combine water and milk in a medium saucepan; bring to a boil. Stir in grits and next 4 ingredients. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 5 to 7 minutes or until creamy, stirring occasionally. 2. Stir in cheese. Cook, uncovered, over medium heat until cheese melts and grits are thickened, stirring often. |
