Want an alternative to the traditional mayonnaise and mustard to spread on your sandwich? This is a quick alternative that will keep in the fridge for up to a week. Great on ham, vegetable, or tuna steak sandwiches. I like it as a dip with crackers or vegetables. Yummy! Recipe courtesy of Ladies' Home Journal May 2009. Ingredients:
15 ounces cannellini beans, rinsed |
1 teaspoon lemon zest |
1 teaspoon fresh thyme |
salt |
pepper |
2 tablespoons olive oil |
Directions:
1. Blend all ingredients in food processor until smooth or to desired texture. 2. Oila! Spread on sandwiches or eat as a dip with vegetables or crackers. |
