                    Very colorful, and tasty dish for a buffet, or pot-luck. Needs to marinate. Ingredients: 
                    
                        
                                                1 cup canola oil  |  
                                                1/4 cup vinegar  |  
                                                1/4 cup fresh minced parsley  |  
                                                1 tablespoon basil  |  
                                                1 tablespoon sugar  |  
                                                1 teaspoon salt  |  
                                                1/2 teaspoon pepper  |  
                                                1/2 teaspoon dry mustard  |  
                                                1 teaspoon garlic powder  |  
                                                1 medium sweet onion, sliced thin  |  
                                                6 ripe tomatoes, sliced  |  
                                                
                     
                    Directions: 
                    
                        
                            
                                1. In a jar with lid, shake all dressing ingredients. 2. Place onion and tomato slices in a shallow dish. 3. Cover with dressing. 4. Cover and chill at least 2 hours.                              |
