Tart and flavorful salad dressing for even the most finnicky of salad eaters. It is simultaneously salty and tangy with crunch and delicious bursts of chewy sweetness. Bleu cheese adds deeper notes and creaminess. Ingredients:
50 ml balsamic vinegar |
100 ml olive oil |
3-6 strips cooked bacon (or to taste), chopped |
4 cloves garlic, minced |
handful sunflower seeds, roasted and shelled |
handful sweetened dried cranberries |
1 tsp mustard (dijon or brown spicy) |
2 slices of roquefort or other bleu cheese |
salt, to taste |
pepper, to taste |
Directions:
1. Place all ingredients in a large bowl 2. Mix well with whisk or spoon, breaking up the cheese well 3. Bottle in a wide-mouthed vessel |
