November is the perfect month to heat things up!! Treat your family to a protein-packed macaroni-bake. Bake made with zesty tomato sauce and warm melted cheese. Quick and easy to make - you can enjoy this hearty meal in no time at all - Ingredients:
2 cups dry elbow macaroni |
8 eggs |
1 cup skim milk |
1 (10 ounce) can condensed cheddar cheese soup |
1/2 cup onion, finely chopped |
1/2 cup green pepper, finely chopped |
1 teaspoon italian seasoning |
1 teaspoon dry mustard |
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder |
cooking spray |
3/4 cup tomato sauce or 3/4 cup pizza sauce or 3/4 cup spaghetti sauce |
1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded |
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped |
Directions:
1. Cook macaroni, according to package directions; drain well. 2. Whisk eggs with milk and soup in a large bowl. Stir in onion, green pepper, Italian seasoning, dry mustard and garlic powder. Stir egg mixture into macaroni. 3. Spray a 2 1/2-quart casserole dish with cooking spray. Pour pasta mixture into casserole dish. 4. Bake in a 350F oven for 10 minutes; stir pasta mixture. Bake for another 10 minutes; stir pasta mixture. 5. Spread tomato sauce over pasta mixture. Sprinkle with cheese and parsley. Bake for 8 minutes or until top is bubbly and cheese is melted. |
