A fresh, sweet and sour side dish. Ingredients:
2 cups fresh green beans |
1/4 cup vegetable broth |
2 green onions, sliced |
2 tablespoons rice vinegar or 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar |
1 teaspoon sugar |
1 teaspoon cornstarch |
fresh ground pepper |
Directions:
1. Steam green beans in broth about 7 minutes or until crisp-tender. 2. Stir in onions; mix well. 3. Combine vinegar, sugar, and cornstarch. Stir into green beans. Cook and stir until glossy. Season with pepper. |
