The same amount of fresh horseradish can be substituted for prepared. More pungent and fiery than a freshly cut onion, fresh horseradish may irritate your eyes and nose when you grate it. We prefer to place a two-inch piece of horseradish root in the food processor and process until minced. Measure out two tablespoons for this recipe, and reserve any extra for another use. Ingredients:
1 cup no-salt-added ketchup |
3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice |
2 tablespoons prepared horseradish |
2 teaspoons hot sauce |
1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce |
1/2 teaspoon minced garlic |
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients in a small bowl, stirring with a whisk. Cover and chill. |
