These are so good. I have been making them for years. I always have these handy in case somebody stops by. Once you start eating them you won't be able to quit. Enjoy Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter at room temperature |
1 pound sharp cheddar shredded at room temperature |
1-1/2 cups all purpose flour |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 300. In a mixing bowl cream butter until light and fluffy. Add cheese and mix until blended. Add flour, salt and red pepper then mix to form a dough. Refrigerate for 30 minutes to firm up the dough then place it in a cookie press fitted with a ridged tip. Pipe dough in 2 inch strips onto a lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake 15 minutes then remove to racks to cool. |
