Sweet and spicey can be used as a sauce on meat or just as a dip. This is a quick and easy recepie to compliment most dishes when you need a little something extra. Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs small tomatillos |
2 medium onions, quartered |
1 garlic, bulb use all cloves |
5 serrano peppers, snap off stem |
garlic salt |
extra virgin olive oil |
1 lime, juice of |
1 bunch fresh cilantro |
salt |
Directions:
1. Peel and wash tomatillos. 2. Put whole tomatillos in a 13x9 dish, add onion, garlic cloves and peppers (whole). 3. Drizzle EVOO over everything and season with garlic salt. 4. Bake at 400 degrees for an hour. 5. Let cool and put in blender. 6. Add salt, juice from lime and cilantro to taste. |
