This bread is SO good - you will be asked for it again and again! It's easy too! Ingredients:
1 loaf unsliced round sourdough loaf |
1 lb monterey jack cheese |
1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine, melted |
1/2 cup chopped green onion |
2 -3 teaspoons poppy seeds |
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder |
Directions:
1. Cut the bread lengthwise and crosswise without cutting through the bottom crust. 2. Insert Cheese between cuts. 3. Combine butter, onions, garlic powder and poppy seeds; drizzle over the bread. 4. Wrap in foil; place on a backing sheet. 5. Bake 350 degrees for 15 minutes. 6. Uncover and bake 10 minutes or until cheese is melted. |
