This meatloaf is not the same old boring version. My family loves it!!!! I serve it with mashed potatoes and peas. Ingredients:
2 lbs extra lean ground beef |
1 egg |
20 saltine crackers, crushed |
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce |
1 teaspoon mustard |
1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce |
3/4 cup onion, chopped |
3/4 cup bell pepper, chopped |
4 slices bacon, cooked crispy and crumbled |
1/4 cup barbecue sauce |
2 tablespoons butter, melted |
salt & pepper |
2/3 cup catsup |
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce |
Directions:
1. Mix ingredients well and pour into 9 x 13 dish. 2. Top with Catsup and tomato sauce. 3. Bake at 375 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. 4. Note: I pour off most of the liquid after it has cooked for about an hour. |
