Yummy Macaroni and Cheese |

This macaroni and cheese recipe is so yummy. It has a nice smooth texture and the mustard added really gives it a nice taste that is not your traditional recipe but it soon will be. I got this recipe over twenty years ago from my home economics teacher. It was one of our labs and I have kept it ever since so it is very worthy to share Ingredients:
1 cup macaroni |
5 ml cooking oil |
5 ml salt |
30 ml margarine |
30 ml flour |
1 ml salt |
1 cup milk |
1/2 cup of grated cheddar cheese |
1 ml mustard |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. 2. Add oil and first amount of oil to water and boil macaroni. 3. Melt margarine in sauce pan. 4. Add flour and salt. 5. Add milk and cheese and mustard and heat until cheese is melted and sauce has thickened. 6. Mix macaroni and cheese sauce and put in a small greased casserole dish. 7. You may wish to add bread crumbs or dill on top. 8. Bake for 10-15 minutes. |
