Yummy Chocolate Flourless Cake |

This yummy cake is great for when you've ran out of flour and you still want a quick dessert, great to whip up and serve to guests! Ingredients:
4 1-oz. squares semisweet chocolate, chopped |
1/2 cup unsalted butter |
3/4 cup sugar |
1/2 cup cocoa |
3 eggs, beaten |
1/4 tsp. salt |
1 tsp. vanilla |
vegetable shortening |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees F. 2. Using solid vegetable shortening, grease an 8 cake pan and dust with cocoa; set aside. 3. In microwave, melt chocolate and butter in bowl on medium power, stirring once, until melted. 4. Add sugar, 1/2 cup cocoa, eggs, and vanilla and mix well. Pour into prepared pan. 5. Bake at 300 degrees F for 30 minutes. 6. Allow cake to cool for 5 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack and cool completely. 7. Serve with melted vanilla or chocolate ice cream, if desired, for a sauce. |
