Yummy Boston Clam Chowder |

A very good chowder. Float a pat of butter on each serving. Good with buttery crackers. Ingredients:
2 cups diced potatoes |
1/2 cup minced onion |
1 1/2 cups water |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
2 cans minced clams |
2 cups milk |
3 teaspoons flour |
2 teaspoons butter |
Directions:
1. Cook first 5 ingredients with the juice from the clams. 2. Cook gently until potatoes are tender. 3. Add clams. 4. Mix milk and flour. 5. Stir into soup. 6. Cook and stir until thickened. 7. Add butter. |
