A classic meat ball recipe with a low-fat twist. Using yummy bison meat instead of beef gives these meat balls a low calorie count with a high calorie taste. Ingredients:
1 lb ground bison meat |
1/2 cup oatmeal ground up in blender |
1 cup finely chopped onion |
1-2 tsp garlic powder |
1 tsp thyme |
1 tsp marjoram |
1 tsp oregano |
1/4 cup egg beaters |
2-3 splash worcestershire sauce |
salt and pepper to taste |
Directions:
1. Pre heat oven to 350 and spary a cookie sheet with pam. Let pan heat in oven while you form meat balls. 2. Grind oat meal in blender to almost a powder. 3. Mix all above ingredients. 4. Make meat mixture into 16 golf ball sized balls. 5. Cook for 10 minutes then turn over for the last 6 minutes to brown on all sides. 6. Feel free to add a zingy BBQ sauce once out of the oven or any sauce you like.. |
