Breakfast bar from Dr Furhman. Ingredients:
2 cups quick old fashioned oats (not instant) |
1/2 cup shredded coconut |
1/2 cup raisins or 1/2 cup chopped dates |
1/4 cup chopped walnuts |
2 ripe bananas, mashed |
1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce (optional) |
1 tablespoon date sugar (optional) |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. 2. Mix ingredients together in a large bowl. 3. Press dough in a 9x9-inch baking pan and bake for 30 minutes. 4. Cool on wire rack. When cool, slice into squares or bars and serve. |
