Using half shortening and half butter for this recipe is the true ingredients that make the cookie yummy! Ingredients:
2/3 cup shortening |
2/3 cup butter |
1 cup sugar |
1 cup brown sugar |
2 eggs |
2 teaspoons vanilla |
3 1/2 cups flour |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1 1/2 cups chocolate chips |
3/4 cup nuts |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees and grease cookie pan. 2. Cream shortening, butter, and sugars in a large bowl with electric mixer until creamy. 3. Add eggs, one at a time while mix is mixing. Add vanilla. 4. Combine flour and baking soda in medium bowl. Add flour mixture to creamy dough gradually, using a wooden spoon. 5. Once dough is formed, add chocolate chips and nuts, and stir til incorperated. 6. Form 1 1/2 inch balls and place on greased sheet 2 inches apart. Flatten ball using your palm. 7. Bake for 10 minutes or until cookies are light brown. |
