Wonderful frozen bar dessert. to die for. it came from my aunt and is my favorite. Ingredients:
2 cups vanilla wafer crumbs |
1/3 cup melted butter or 1/3 cup margarine |
1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine |
1 1/2 cups sifted confectioners' sugar |
2 eggs |
1/4 cup sugar |
2 tablespoons cocoa |
1 cup heavy cream |
1 cup chopped walnuts |
1 mashed banana |
1/4 cup marischinno cherries, chopped |
Directions:
1. Mix crumbs and melted butter.reserve 2 tablespoon for top.press remainder in bottom of pan(10x8 approx) cream the butter and confectioners sugar,add eggs, 1 at a tme.beatingwell after each.spead over crumbs.
2. combine sugar, cocoa and cream -whip. fold in nuts banana and cherries. pile on top of egg mixture in pan. sprinkle reserved crumbs on top.
3. chill 24 hrs or freeze.
4. serves about 10-12.
