This is a cold remedy and really works! From the NY Times. Cheese is optional, if you really feel yucky. Ingredients:
6 cups chicken stock |
2 heads garlic, peeled |
3 -6 jalapenos, seeded and chopped,to taste |
1 teaspoon dried oregano |
1 teaspoon dried thyme |
salt |
grated parmagiano cheese or monterey jack pepper cheese |
Directions:
1. Combine stock, garlic, jalapenos, and herbs in pan, bring to a boil. 2. Reduce and simmer until garlic is soft, about 30 minutes. 3. Transfer to a blender, puree until smooth. 4. Season with salt, serve in mugs, topped with cheese. |
