This came through my grandmother, I'm not sure where she got it from.
Ingredients:
1 cup shortening (can be partly margarine)
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 1/2 cups flour
2 cups quick oats
2 cups corn flakes or 2 cups rice krispies
1 cup raisins or 1 cup dates
1 cup coconut
Directions:
1. Mix shortening, sugar & eggs. Add salt, soda & baking powder to flour, then add to shortening mix. Add Oats & Corn flakes. Add raisins & coconut last. Roll into balls, place on ungreased cookie sheet & flatten with a fork, crisscrossing. Bake at 350 until browned, about 12 minutes.
