Ingredients:
2 tablespoons beef drippings |
6 ounces all-purpose flour |
6 fluid ounces (whole or semi-skimmed) milk |
2 free-range eggs |
salt and freshly ground black pepper |
Directions:
1. Preheat the oven 425 degrees F. 2. Pour the beef drippings into a muffin pan. Place in the oven until the drippings are smoking hot. 3. Mix together the flour, milk, 4 fluid ounces water, eggs and some salt and pepper. 4. Pour the batter equally into the muffin cups. Put back into oven and cook until golden brown and crisp, 25 to 35 minutes, depending on the oven. 5.
