These are a no fail version! Make sure you heat oil and get it hot before pouring batter into muffin trays! Ingredients:
1 cup flour |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
4 eggs (beaten) |
1 1/4 cups whole milk |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. 2. Mix flour, salt, beaten eggs and half the milk until smooth. 3. Add the remaining milk and blend. 4. Let batter rest. 5. Put 1 teaspoon of oil or drippings into each section of muffin tray. 6. Put in hot oven until oil is very hot. 7. When ready to cook , stir batter again to blend ingredients. 8. Take tray out and immediately fill each section 3/4 full with batter. 9. Place in oven and bake until golden brown and crisp. 10. (15 to 20 minutes.) |
