I had this at a cooking class my newphew and I took Operation Frontline Cooking With Your Kids. My 5 yr old newphew helped make this recipe. When the kids made this they used vanilla yogurt, unsweetened bagged fruit like blueberries, strawberries, blackberries and raspberries. For future use I plan to use Kashi Golean cereal in place of the granola. Ingredients:
8 ounces plain fat-free yogurt or 8 ounces vanilla yogurt |
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (omit if using vanilla yogurt) |
1/2 cup fruit, chopped (any kind) |
1/2 cup low-fat granola |
Directions:
1. Mix vanilla extract and yogurt if using plain yogurt. 2. Place a layer of yogurt on the bottom of a bowl or cup. 3. Cover yogurt layer with a layer of fruit and then a layer of granola. Keep layering yogurt, then fruit then granola until you finish all the ingredients. 4. Serve immediately or place in freezer for at least two hours to make a frozen yogurt snack. Scoop and serve like ice cream. |
