You will think you are eating dessert at breakfast. (Not to mention it's so easy and convenient. I am in love with this muesli. Ingredients:
2 cups rolled oats |
1 cup rye flakes |
1 cup almonds |
3/4-1 cup raisins (i mix thompson's and golden raisins) |
1 cup dried dates, chopped |
1/2 cup walnut pieces |
1/2 cup sunflower seeds |
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract |
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon |
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg |
4 cups unsweetened apple juice (not from concentrate) or 4 cups apple cider |
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients EXCEPT apple juice in a bowl and mix well. 2. Store this in an airtight container and scoop some out the night before you want it. 3. For each serving use: HEAPED 1/2 cup dry muesli and 1/3 cup juice. 4. Mix in a container with a lid and refrigerate overnight. 5. Enjoy in the morning- preferably to complement a yoga practice (Yoga nut here) It just may help you become enlightened :-). |
