I have not tried this recipe. I got this recipe from Ossg Recipes. Ingredients:
2 lbs yellow squash or 2 lbs zucchini, sliced |
2 tablespoons butter |
2 medium onions, chopped |
2 garlic cloves, minced |
1 cup milk (i use skim) |
1 cup breadcrumbs |
1 lb cooked sausage (jimmy dean is what i use) |
5 eggs |
1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese, grated |
salt, to taste |
pepper |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 2. In a dutch oven, boil squash until tender, drain. Return to pan. 3. While boiling squash, saute onions in butter. Mash squash and, over medium heat, add remaining ingredients. 4. Transfer to a 2 quart casserole dish and bake uncovered for 30 minutes. |
