A wonderful, savory rice that will convert even the strictest of critics. not to be confused with yellow Snow Ingredients:
3 cups uncooked rice |
1 medium white onion |
1/2 garlic |
4 cups chicken broth |
1/2 teaspoon cumin |
1/4 teaspoon salt (if broth is salt free) |
1/4 teaspoon black pepper (to taste) |
2 dashes saffron (it's more for color) (optional) |
1 teaspoon tomato sauce (for color) |
1/2 cup butter (one stick) |
1/2 cup cilantro (optional) |
1 cup peas (optional) |
Directions:
1. In a blender, add all ingridence except for Rice and peas. Blend. 2. In a small pot, bring mixture to a boil. 3. Add Rice. 4. Add Peas. 5. Simmer on low for 15 minutes. 6. Do not Stir! This will make it mushy. |
