This is just the sipleset little recipe - if you can call it that - but oh so good. Nope, you don't need dthe onions in this great little side dish. Ingredients:
5 yellow crookneck squash |
1 1/2-blocks margarine |
salt and pepper to taste |
enough water to just cover the bottom of the pot |
Directions:
1. Wash squash and cut off both ends. 2. Slice into about 1/4th-inch rounds 3. Place in a pot with the margarine and water. 4. Bring to a boil over a medium heat. 5. Add salt and pepper; lower heat and continue to cook (with lid on) until squash is tender. 6. Taste for salt and pepper and doneness before taking up. 7. Serve with a slotted spoon. 8. -Susana |
