YAMS ROASTED IN WINE This is a recipe I obtained from an Estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Ellis Estate in Fort Worth, Texas in 1980. Ingredients:
2 pounds yams peeled and cubed |
1 cup red wine |
1/4 cup honey |
2 tablespoons butter |
Directions:
1. Place yams in saucepan then add remaining ingredients and enough water to barely cover. Simmer until tender then pour into baking dish and bake at 350 for 30 minutes. |
