Shelly, my sister-in-law, serves this at Thanksgiving. I make it often because my husband and I love it-in fact, I made it last night! It is so good sometimes we just warm it in the microwave and eat as dessert! I hope you'll enjoy it as much as we do. Ingredients:
1 (20 ounce) can candied yams, drained |
1/2 cup sugar |
1/2 cup butter |
2 eggs, well beaten |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1/3 cup milk |
3/4 cup miniature marshmallow (this is my contribution) |
1 cup light brown sugar |
1/2 cup flour |
1/3 cup butter, melted |
1 cup chopped pecans (or any other nuts you like) |
Directions:
1. Warm yams in small pan and use mixer to puree them. 2. Fold in all other ingredients and put it in a 2 1/2 qt casserole dish. 3. Prepare topping: Mix sugar and flour; pour butter. Beat with mixer until well coated. Fold pecans inches. 4. Sprinkle topping evenly over casserole. 5. Put dish in 350 F oven and bake for 25 minutes. |
