Unlike usual log cakes which tend to get heavy all the cream frosting , this chocolate log cake is surprisingly light and ..... light !!! Ingredients:
2 eggs |
1 c white sugar |
1 tsp vanilla essence |
1 c flour and 2 tbsp cocoa pwd |
1 tsp baking pwd |
1/4 tsp salt |
hot 1/2 c milk plus 1 tbsp margarine |
75 gm baking chocolate |
2 tbsp whipping cream |
Directions:
1. Pre heat the oven at 180 deg C . 2. Line a swiss roll tin . 3. Beat the egg , sugar and essence until creamy . 4. Fold in the dry ing. along with the milk . 5. Pour in the tin and bake for 15 mins until the top springs back to your touch . 6. Roll the cake when its hot into a log . 7. In a bowl , place the chocolate and the whipping cream and heat in a microwave . 8. Let it stand for 5 mins and then beat . 9. Pour on the log . 10. Dust with icing sugar . |
