Xagave is a raw, organic sweetener with a Glycemic Index of 30...sugar is about 60. This recipe is great for diabetics. Ingredients:
2/3 cup unsalted butter (room temperature) |
1 cup agave |
2 eggs |
2/3 cup milk |
3 teaspoons pure vanilla extract |
2 cups flour |
3/4 teaspoon baking powder |
3/4 teaspoon sea salt |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 325°F. 2. Mix first 5 wet ingredients in blender on low. 3. In a small bowl, blend together flour, baking powder & salt. 4. Add flour mixture to blender and blend on low. 5. Grease & flour a standard size bread pan. Add mixture to pan. 6. Bake 60-70 minutes. Done test: clean toothpick in middle of loaf. 7. Enjoy with your favorite topping! |
