This is the most requested dish when I have a party. They are pretty much gone as soon as I make them and people then start complaining that they didnt get enough! Ingredients:
1 can of chicken (do not drain) |
1 onion (diced) |
1 can of waterchestnuts (diced) |
1 package of wonton wrappers |
a few dashes of white pepper powder ( this is what makes the recipe!) |
salt to taste |
oli for frying |
Directions:
1. I a bowl mixed the undrained canned chicken , the onion and the waterchestnuts. Mix well and add the white pepper powder and the salt. Heat the cooking oil in a large sauce pan. 2. To make the wontons, have a small bowl with water near by. I would take one wrapper and fill with about 1/2 teaspoon of filling (eyeball it ) close it over like a triangle and seal the edges with a little water. 3. Put about 4 in the oil to fry at a time. When they turn golden brown drain them onto a paper towel lined plate. Serve with Salsa or eat plain. |
