I think this is the best recipe around:) It freezes very well and is wonderful with any compote on top! Ingredients:
1 cup graham cracker crumbs |
2 tablespoons sugar |
1/4 cup butter, melted |
3 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened |
1 cup sugar |
4 eggs |
1 tablespoon vanilla extract |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. 2. Combine crumbs, 2 T sugar, butter; mix well. 3. Press in bottom of 9 inch springform pan. 4. Bake for 10 minutes; set aside. 5. Beat cream cheese with mixer until fluffy. 6. Gradually add 1 cup sugar, mixing well. 7. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well. 8. Stir in vanilla and salt. 9. Bake at 350°F for 50 minutes. 10. Let cool to room temperature on rack. 11. Refrigerate several hours. |
