WON TON WRAPPED PORK WITH RASPBERRY DIPPING SAUCE This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Baxter Estate in Euless, Texas in 1989. Ingredients:
3 teaspoons brown sugar |
2 teaspoons salt |
4 cloves garlic minced |
4 teaspoons dry sherry |
2 teaspoons cornstarch |
6 tablespoons vegetable oil |
1 teaspoon soy sauce |
1 pound pork tenderloin cut into small pieces |
12 ounce package won ton wrappers |
2 cups peanut oil |
sauce |
12 ounces raspberry preserves |
4 teaspoons yellow mustard |
4 tablespoons teriyaki sauce |
Directions:
1. In small bowl combine brown sugar, salt, garlic, sherry, cornstarch, vegetable oil and soy sauce. 2. Mix pork with the marinade then cover and refrigerate 8 hours or overnight. 3. Lay won ton wrappers in a single layer then place 1 piece of marinated pork in center of each. 4. Dab a small amount of marinade on each of the corners. 5. Fold won ton over pork by bringing each of the corners to center of square and overlapping. 6. Heat oil in a large skillet until hot then cook won ton wrapped pork 2 minutes per side. 7. For sauce blend preserves, mustard and teriyaki sauce then serve with won tons. |
