These spooky fingers are a cinch to make because you use breadstick dough. Use with the Monster Munch recipe #to be given later. From the local newspaper. Ingredients:
11 ounces tube refrigerated breadstick dough |
1/4 cup butter, melted |
2 tablespoons cinnamon sugar |
1 large egg, slightly beaten |
48 sliced natural almonds (with skin) |
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 375 degrees. 2. Crumple four large pieces of foil; shape each into a 15-by-2-inch log. 3. Place on a baking sheet. 4. Unroll dough. 5. Cut each of the rectangles crosswise in half, then lengthwise into 2 strips. 6. Cut 1 end of each into a fingertip shape. 7. Roll strips in butter and drape over foil logs; sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. 8. Brush fingertips with beaten egg; press an almond slice nail on each fingertip. 9. Bake 8 minutes until golden. 10. Serve wrapped around cups of Monster Munch. 11. You can make these finger straight instead of curved over the foil. |
