Do not boil. Ingredients:
1/2 cup oleo |
celery, carrots, and green pepper, shredded. use quite a few |
6 tablespoons flour |
4 cups milk |
1 teaspoon salt |
2 cups grated cheese |
2 cups chicken broth |
Directions:
1. Melt 1/4 cup oleo in a skillet, add veggies, saute until tender. Set aside. 2. Melt 1/4 cup oleo in dutch oven over low heat, gradually stir in flour, stirring constantly until bubbly. Stir in milk until it thickens. Add veggies, salt, cheese and broth. Cook just until cheese melts. DO NOT BOIL it may cause this to curdle. Serve warm immediately. |
