Winter Squash and Apples (Slow Cooker) |

Found this recipe in the, Simple 1-2-3, Slow Cooker cookbook. Entering for Zaar World Tour 5 for Australia / New Zealand region. Ingredients:
1 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon black pepper |
1/4 cup brown sugar |
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon |
1 (2 lb) butternut squash (pealed and seeded) |
2 apples (cored and sliced) |
1 medium onion (quartered and sliced) |
1 1/2 tablespoons butter |
Directions:
1. Cut squash into 2 inch pieces and place in slow cooker. Add apples and onions. Sprinkle salt and pepper and stir well. Cook on low for 6 to 7 hours. 2. Just before serving, combine brown sugar, cinnamon, and butter and stir in with squash, apples, and onions. Add additional salt and pepper to taste. |
