Something that's easy and sooo good. If you're tired of garlic bread, give it a try. Ingredients:
1 whole wheat italian baguette split length wise (day old) |
1/2 cup of homeade or good quality pesto |
sliced tomatoes to cover bread halves ( slice about 1/4 of an inch thick) |
grated parmesan |
sliced buffalo mozzerella (bout 1/8 of an inch thick) |
olive oil |
black pepper |
Directions:
1. Spread pesto over baguette halves 2. place tomatoes over pesto 3. layer mozzerella over tomatoes 4. bake at 400 for 10 to 15 minutes 5. remove from oven, drizzle with a high quality olive oil, sprinkle with parmesan, top off with some grated black pepper. Cut into nice slices.. my lil slice of heaven. |
