This I serve on all our holiday dinners, it has a great flavor and if you like candied yams...you'll love these. Ingredients:
1 large acorn squash |
brown sugar...as desired |
butter...as desired |
water for cassarole dish. |
Directions:
1. cut acorn in half and deseed 2. place in a cassarole dish 3. add enough water to bottom so squash wont burn ( 1 cup ) 4. place pats of butter in center of both sqaush 5. put brown sugar on top of butter 6. nuke for about 20 minutes covered until nice and tender 7. scoop out ..or just eat it out of the skin. 8. this is great anytime. 9. enjoy |
