Winnie's Sausage Stuffing |

This is ther stuffing mix my m-i-l made for years and I have been making for years. Ingredients:
1 lb sausage meat |
1 c diced celery |
1 c minced onion |
1 very large loaf white bread,broken up in small pieces |
2 tb parsley |
1/2 tsp sage (i use a little more.) |
3 to 4 c chicken broth |
Directions:
1. Cook sausage meat,celery and onion together over med heat till sausage is cooked and celery and onion tender,about 10 mins. 2. Add chicken broth to moisten and add sage and parsley. Stuff cicken or turkey or bake in a casserole dish at 350 for 35-45 mins. 3. To make just bread stuffing,omit sausage and cook onion and celery in 1/4 lb butter |
