With wooden planters being so very expensive, wine crates are the way to go! Most nice grocery stores have no problem giving them to you FOR FREE... just ask :-) Ingredients:
empty wine crates |
organic potting soil |
fresh herbs of choice |
equipment: a drill |
Directions:
1. Prep: drill holes in the bottom to allow for drainage. If desired you can lay down a bit of old screen to prevent soil from leaking out.
2. Planting: Fill with good potting mix, add your herbs and plenty of water to get them started.
