Cookies made with a bottle of white wine Ingredients:
5 pounds of flour |
3 pounds crisco shortening |
1 bottle ( minus 1 cup ) of white wine |
juice from 1 lemon ( 3 tablespoons ) |
2 cups granulated sugar |
2 cups powdered sugar |
Directions:
1. Combine flour and crisco.
2. add wine and lemon juice
3. mix dough with your hands until hands come out clean.
4. chill overnight.
5. roll into 1/2 inch thick
6. cut with medium sized cookie cutters.
7. bake at 350 degrees F. for 10 to 20 minutes.
8. bottoms will be light brown.
9. while hot toss cookies in a mixture of granulated sugar and powdered sugar.
10. set on a wire rack until cooled....
