Hot dressing for wilted salads. The addition of a bit of mustard binds the bacon drippings to the other liquids and lends to the flavor. Ingredients:
bacon drippings to equal about 5 tbsp |
4 tbsp brown sugar |
3 tbsp cider vinegar |
2 tbsp dijon mustard |
1/2 tbsp worcestershire sauce |
1/3 c. water |
salt and pepper to taste |
Directions:
1. In a small sauce pan whisk all ingredients together and bring to a boil. Boil and stir 3 minutes, immediately drizzle over prepared greens of your choice and toss. 2. This will make a decent amount of dressing, I usually make a large salad and usually have some left over. |
