1 large bowl of fresh clean garden picked lettuce pieces
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
10 slices bacon fried and crumbled
1 small white onion diced small
3 tablespoons vinegar
2 tablespoons water
2 teaspoons sugar
Directions:
1. Break lettuce into a large bowl and season with salt and pepper. 2. Add remaining ingredients to bacon fat in frying pan. 3. Bring this to a boil stirring constantly then pour over the lettuce. 4. Toss lightly with salad fork and spoon until the lettuce is wilted.
