1 cup flour |
1/2 cup butter |
1 tablespoon cold water |
1 cup water |
1/2 cup butter |
1 cup flour |
1 tablespoon almond extract |
3 eggs |
3 tablespoons melted butter |
1 cup powdered sugar |
1 tablespoon milk |
Directions:
1. Pastry: Cut butter into flour until crumbly. 2. Sprinkle with cold water and mix until it forms a ball. 3. Divide dough in half; press each section into a 2 x 12-inch strip on cookie sheet, about 2 inches apart. 4. Filling: Bring water and butter to a boil; remove from heat. 5. Add almond extract and stir in flour. 6. Beat eggs in one at a time. 7. Place batter over crust. 8. Fold pastries over lengthwise and seal edges with water. 9. Bake at 350F for 40-45 minutes until lightly browned. 10. Cool. 11. Frosting: Combine ingredients and spread over pastry. |
