Use this for cornish hens or for a 10 pound turkey on Thanksgiving. Ingredients:
1 cup wild rice (6 ounces) |
4 cups water |
1 cup breadcrumbs |
1 cup raisins |
1/2 cup walnuts, chopped |
1/2 cup fresh apple, chuncks |
1/2 cup butter, melted |
1/4 cup orange juice |
Directions:
1. Combine rice and water. 2. Cook according to directions on box. 3. Then mix cooked rice with crumbs, raisins, walnuts and apple chunkes. 4. Combine the melted butter and orange juice and add this mixture to the other mixture and stir well. 5. Place the stuffing in the bird to be cooked or bake in a covered casserole dish in a preheated 325 degrees oven between 30 to 45 minutes. |
