This is a very tasty outdoor crouton Ingredients:
Directions:
1. Take a good sized skillet with at least a one inch lip 2. lightly drizzle in some oil...... 3. heat the oil slowly.......this is like old time popcorn popping..... 4. take a half a handful of wild rice rice and sprinkle on very hot oil 5. when the rice pops it will fluff to white..i ladle it out of the oil and toss in another handful 6. drain on a paper towel....... 7. you can eat it like popcorn, toss it on salads......put it on loads of food as a garden garnish...its great in scrambled eggs at breakfast too.. 8. dont knock it...till ya pop't it........ |
