This recipe is one of my mom's favorites and a family stand by. I think these days I'd use turkey sausage and add some chopped celery. Ingredients:
1 lb sausage, browned |
8 ounces wild rice, cook 35 min |
1 onion, chop and saute |
1 lb chopped cooked chicken |
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can cream of chicken soup |
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can cream of celery soup |
1 (4 ounce) can mushrooms |
1 (2 ounce) jar pimiento |
1 dash sage |
1 dash salt |
1 dash pepper |
1 dash parsley |
slivered almonds |
Directions:
1. Mix first all ingredients except slivered almonds. Pour into casserole dish and level it with a spoon. Top with slivered almonds. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees. |
